Decode a SWIFT/BIC code into its four published parts: the institution code, the country, the location and the branch.
Free, and nothing you check is stored. The check runs as a pure calculation — Paysavo keeps no record of it.
What this checker can and cannot tell you
A BIC has no checksum. Its structure can be checked, but structure alone cannot show that a code has been issued or is still in service.
Paysavo does not resolve a BIC to a bank name. SWIFT's terms prohibit systematic querying of BIC Search and incorporating that directory into another product, so we hold no copy of it.
An 8-character BIC identifies a head office. Some systems require the 11-character form and append XXX themselves.
Confirm the account name and number with your recipient directly, using a channel you already trust. If payment details arrive by email and differ from what you were expecting, treat that as a warning sign and call the person on a number you looked up yourself rather than one in the message.
