What this checker can and cannot tell you
A sort code has no check digit. Unlike an IBAN or a US routing number, there is no arithmetic that can show whether a sort code was ever issued — only whether it is six digits long.
Paysavo does not name the bank or branch behind a sort code. Doing that requires Pay.UK's industry directory, whose terms do not permit us to republish it, and we would rather show you nothing than a guess about where your money is going.
Whether an account accepts Faster Payments, Bacs or CHAPS is not verified from the currently approved Paysavo sources, so this page does not claim it either way.
Confirm the account name and number with your recipient directly, using a channel you already trust. If payment details arrive by email and differ from what you were expecting, treat that as a warning sign and call the person on a number you looked up yourself rather than one in the message.
